Our specially designed contoured seat slats give the comfort that so many other swings can only dream of. Made from Northern White Cedar and Pine table top, known for its hardiness in the out-of-doors, makes our furniture last. Cedar is naturally rot and insect resistant, and holds up well to the weather. Left untreated, it will age to a silvery grey, or, because we ship in its natural state, it can be sealed, stained, even painted to the preference of the consumer. The comfort of these swings is so amazing, that to sit in one, is to want one.

Don’t be fooled by cheap imported imitations made from Chinese Fir. Chinese Fir is not resistant to rot and infestation, and
it is an inferior wood choice when it come to strength. On average, furniture made from Chinese Fir will last between 1-3
years. A piece of log furniture made from Northern White Cedar can last 10-20 years.

You can finish this piece with a quality penetrating oil finish, or leave it alone to weather to a silvery gray color. Many, or most of the logs will have cracks. These cracks are called checks. Checking occurs when the logs dry and the cells shrink causing the wood to split. This does not weaken the wood.
